Kos

Kos is in the South Aegean region of Greece is and part of the Dodecanese group of Islands. The island measures 25 by 5 miles and is located only 2 miles from Bodrum, Turkey.

Hippocrates, the ancient physician is thought to have been born in Kos. He is known as the father of modern medicine and taught under the Plane Tree in Kos Town, which is now supported by scaffolding.
