The Strid are a series of waterfalls and rapids, located between Barden Tower and Bolton Abbey on the river Wharfe in North Yorkshire.

The river Wharfe is compressed into a small deep channel at the Strid, which has undercut the rock banks. The narrow gap forces the water to gain tremendous speeds and depth. Hidden underneath is a network of caverns and tunnels that hold all of the rest of the river's water.

There are warnings signs on trees around the area which discourage people to attempt the leap across the narrow gap.
