Nine Stones Close is a stone circle near Birchover, Derbyshire.
The circle is located near a tree upon Harthill Moor near Robins Hood Stride, it has a diameter of aprrox. 13yrds. In 1780, six stones were visible, but only four stones now remain, with other large stones scattered around, one at Harthill Moor Farm. Two of the four remaining stones were set in concrete around 1936.
Excavation within the circle in 1847 revealed several fragments of badly-fired pottery and flint.
Today the site is a scheduled ancient monument
